march 16, 2025 Show at fallen log, saw the band Möney from Bristol, UK and they are awesome and British (tape acquired). Bungee jumpers opened and some other band that I forgot (sorry). But Möney is genuinely great if you’re into like a mix of post-punk/egg punk type of stuff, I find all their demos on band camp rlly good and different from each other, def worth a listen

Bungee jumpers opened for the gories at empty bottle and once again I was there. I accidentally got really drunk this night and was so out of it during the gories set. Fortunately I caught the set the night before so it was all good in the end.

Answering machines opened for the Gories at the empty bottle! my friends were so excited to open for such an iconic garage punk band, and the Gories lived up to the hype! Old people really know how to put on a rock show. I particularly enjoyed their drummer— a cool old lady with long gray hair and sunglasses. I hope to be an awesome old person one day :)

There was this Music frozen dancing event at empty bottle during the day. My friends band double over played and they were awesome. Left early to go to Horsegirl, with Lifeguard and Answering Machines at metro :O im pretty sure this was AMs biggest show they ever played.. that venue is huge!!! After the show I got chicken tenders from Cane’s with the bands! It was a great way to end the night. flt so happy and proud for my band mate friends.

big night at the empty bottle! my friend isabel joined TV Buddha on bass for the first time and it was delightful. My friends Bungee Jumpers also played and it was awesome and the bassist is hot

Answering Machines show at the fallen log!! the openers were also rlly good but Parking from louisville, kentuky stood out the most to me!! i also liked Memory Card. i got tapes from both bands. But obvisusly answering machines was the peak of the night, its such a fun band to watch and jump around in the crowd.

saw your arms are my cocoon at subterranean with my friend mimi. YAAMC do shows in chicago a lot (arent they from here??) but this was my first time seeing them :)
I currently live in Chicago, Illinois... the beautiful american midwest.
i guess the music scene in chicago is quite broad. but i orbit around a couple of DIY bands and go to their shows a lot! i definatly recommend checking them out :)
